Legal Accountant/Bookkeeper

This traditional CBD firm take pride in the longevity of their client relationships and have been providing leading legal expertise for a number of years. With a collegiate and friendly environment, this employer takes pride in ensuring they hire the right people and this is reflected in in their low staff turn-over. 

The firm have had a resignation in the team due to retirement and are now looking to secure an experienced Legal Accounts Administrator/Bookkeeper to take over the management of the finances!

As a key member and an integral part of this firm, you will work closely with the Partners by providing assistance around all aspects of legal finance.  Your tasks will include (though not limited to):

Monthly billing;
Accounts receivable/payable
Reconciling creditors and debtors ledgers
Payroll/PAYG/Payroll Tax and Superannuation 
Petty cash
Trust, Office and controlled monies accounts
Review and monitoring budgets
BAS calculation and processing
Reporting
Providing general support Partners
Law society compliance
General ad hoc duties as directed
To be successful you will have previous experience using Affinity, experience as a Legal Accountant/Bookkeeper is an essential requirement to enable you to hit the ground running!  Above all, a friendly demeanor is absolutely necessary, as is the desire to be a real team player in this ‘hands on’ role.
